Hitachi's Content Archive Platform (HCAP) is our core digital indexing and archival platform, utilising Hitachi's flagship storage system, the universal Storage Platform™ V, for the storage of archived data. The Hitachi Content Archive Platform offers numerous benefits including native content archiving, sophisticated policies data lifecycle management and compliance, petabyte scalability and the ability to migrate seamlessly across generations of storage technologies using the virtualisation capabilities of the USP V.
To overcome the cost and time of transferring petabyte level data loads through traditional telecommunication cables, Hitachi in unison with Data Íslandia have developed the Data Scooter™. This elegant and workable solution solves a number of complex technology and business issues, whilst showing commitment on behalf of HDS to be innovative.
Data Íslandia has superb technical facilities, first-order security, and exceptional infrastructure. We are located in an remarkably low-crime environment with geographic defence to ensure minimal risk of intrusion and physical damage. In-country, we maintain our own remote backup facilities.
Our staff is fluent in English and several European and East Asian languages and well-qualified for the exceptional demands of critical data storage. Facilities are under ISO 9001, VeriSign, and BS 7799 compliance. Our software solutions enable proof of compliance with internal and external regulations including FFIEC, FISMA, GLBA, HIPPA, NERC, NISPOM, and Sarbanes-Oxley.
We provide full digital storage solutions with expertise in Fibre-Channel RAID, SAN, DVD, tape and optical libraries, mainframe, SQL, Lotus Exchange 2000, OBES, Unix, NT and Mac environments, high-bandwidth networks, and related professional services. Our storage hardware includes EMC CX, HP XP series, HP EVA'S, Compaq, and EMC/Dell storage arrays with IBM Ultrium LTO 3 and IBM 3494, 3590/3592 tape-drives.
Long-term data archives are managed on appropriately-tiered disk storage to match customer service level requirements. This facilitates enterprise-level policy and greatly simplifies compliance and version controls. Data is stored in native format.
